Chain-Reaction Crash Turns Deadly in Columbia County

BLOOMSBURG — A chain-reaction crash last week in Columbia County has turned deadly.

Troopers say Francis Slavinsky, 85, from Bloomsburg died Saturday after his SUV was hit by a tractor-trailer along Interstate 80 in Bloomsburg last Wednesday.

Three others were hurt in the four-vehicle crash in Columbia County.

  • trucks go way too fast

    when you’re driving something as large and heavy as a big rig and you find it necessary to go 80mph then you’re knowingly inviting terrible things like this to happen… if you’re licensed to drive that truck you must know that you have no chance of stopping if something happens when you are going that fast… if you’re reading this and drive truck, PLEASE SLOW IT DOWN OUT THERE!!
