Farmers Market in Scranton Seeks Donations for Veterans

SCRANTON -- A collection for veterans was taken Friday at the Co-op Farmers Market in Scranton.

Gently used or new items for veterans are being accepted at the drop-off booth.

Coats, gloves, socks and hats are needed at the drop-off location.

Donations will be taken at the farmers market in Scranton through next Wednesday.

Items will be given to veterans at a dinner in December.

    Not trying to be a jerk because I realize this is for vet’s but someone should tell this group that it’s illegal to use any USPS boxes for anything else than sending mail. You can’t even legally reuse them without committing a federal offense. And yes, the USPS will go after people for it.
