HILLSGROVE TOWNSHIP — Residents in Sullivan County affected by last week’s flooding will be able to get free tetanus shots.
Flash flooding damaged roads and homes, sweeping garbage and debris along in the rushing water.
Tetanus is contracted when a wound comes in contact with contaminated soil or debris.
The Department of Health is offering free tetanus shots to anyone in Sullivan County who came in contact with flood debris.
The shots will be available from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Hillsgrove Village Volunteer Fire Company in Hillsgrove.
