SHENANDOAH -- It was a cause for celebration at a church in Schuylkill County.

Sunday marked the 32nd annual Father Walter Ciszek Day Divine Liturgy at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church in Shenandoah.

St. Casimir's is the home church for Ciszek, who is currently being considered for sainthood.

"He displayed the love of Christ in a way that would make cognizable by the Catholic Church his sanctity, and therefore elevate him to being a saint of the Catholic Church," said canonization researcher John Dejak.

Bishop Kurt Burnette from New Jersey was also on hand for the celebratory Mass in Schuylkill County.
