WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A man from Schuylkill County, charged with having a gun outside the White House, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court.

Jesse Olivieri, 31, of Ashland, was sentenced to eight months in prison, with credit for time served. The remainder of the sentence will be served in a medical facility.  He pleaded guilty in September.

Olivieri was shot in May by the Secret Service when agents spotted him carrying a gun outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

Court documents show that Olivieri had a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun when he was taken down outside the gates of the White House.
