EXETER -- The head coach of the Wyoming Area High School girls’ volleyball team has been charged with corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor after police say he sent explicit text messages to a 16-year-old player on the team.

Police say Nicholas Diaco sent sexual text messages to the girl, detailing specific acts he wanted to do to the victim.

On Monday, that player told the vice principal and superintendent that Diaco had been sexting her.

A state police forensic search of the girl’s phone showed the explicit communication from Diaco.

Police say Diaco is free on bail.

There is no word on Diaco’s status with the school.
