Emergency Landing at AVP

LUZERNE COUNTY -- A plane had to make an emergency landing Monday afternoon at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

Officials from the Airport told Newswatch 16  a United Airlines plane had to make that stop after the pilot reported a fuel imbalance.

Newswatch 16 found the airport's fire truck returning to the fire station after the plane landed safely in Luzerne County.

    FYI If you look closely at the picture you will see that the plane is a United Express plane which is neither owned or operated by United Airlines. The plane is owned and operated by a regional carrier under contract to United.
