LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Strong storms moving through our area Thursday night left hundreds in Lackawanna County without power

Around 9 p.m., the wet and windy weather knocked out power to 1,200 homes and businesses in the East Mountain neighborhood.

The traffic lights were out at the intersection of River Street and Meadow Avenue.

At last check 1,400 homes are still without power in Lackawanna County. Most of those homes are around the Waverly Area.

PPL crews hope to have power restored by 2:30 a.m. on Friday.
