ELDRED TOWNSHIP — State Police at Montoursville say two people involved in a home invasion in Eldred Township were arrested Saturday.

Troopers say Brenda Sterner, 47, and Rudolph Stark, 45, both of Williamsport, approached an elderly woman at her home and asked about fishing near the woman’s residence.

That is when troopers say Sterner and Stark entered the woman’s home and robbed her at gunpoint.

The pair tied the woman up until they left the residence. That is when she untied herself and ran to a neighbor’s home where she called 911.

Several hours later, state police apprehended the suspects based on vehicle information provided by witnesses.

There was no bail set, and Sterner and Stark remain locked up in Lycoming County Prison.

State Police say they will have more information Sunday on exactly what criminal charges Sterner and Stark are facing.

They were arrested on August 5. Why is it so difficult for WNEP to get Lycoming County news. PSP has the information, in writing, for the reporter to read, at the barracks. Are the high school kids covering Lycoming County?
