MOOSIC -- An event in Lackawanna County aimed to prepare kids for the upcoming school year.
Verizon Wireless and A Wireless teamed up to host their annual "School Rocks Backpack Giveaway" Saturday afternoon at the Shoppes at Montage in Moosic.
Kids could come get a backpack filled with school supplies for free.
A similar giveaway was also held at Cressona Mall in Schuylkill County.
