SCRANTON -- Crowds are gathering and the stage is set for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his running mate Mike Pence to address supporters at the Lackawanna College Student Union.

The "Trump Truck" owned by Scranton businessman Bob Bolus is in front of the building and a line of Trump supporters begins behind the truck and stretches down the block.

The folks who are first in line told us they were there as early as 4 a. m. for the townhall-style event with the Republican presidential nominee.

You do need a ticket to get into the 3 p.m. event.  If you don't have a ticket or can't make it to the event, WNEP will be streaming the rally live on WNEP.com.

Campaign officials tell us nearly 5,000 tickets were given out but the student union only holds about 3,500 people.

Some supporters will likely be turned away.

The campaign is expecting crowds outside during the event

The Industrial Workers of the World has planned an anti-Trump rally for 1 p.m.

Because of the crowds, Scranton police will have some roads shut down. A few blocks of Jefferson Avenue and Vine Street in this area will be closed, and there will be brief closures when Trump's motorcade comes through around 3 p.m.
