MILFORD — A doctor in Pike County is accused of over-prescribing painkillers to people who did not need them.

Authorities say Fuhai Li of East Stroudsburg was paid in cash for the medication.

In some cases, the buyers turned around and sold the pills to others.

When agents raided Li’s offices in Milford and homes last year, they found more than $1 million in cash.

If convicted, he could face life in prison.
