COOLBAUGH ESTATES — Police in the Poconos arrested a man for an armed robbery in the Poconos last year.
Officers from Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department said Wilson Woolley used a handgun to rob a cab driver on Trapper Lane in Stillwater Estates in Coolbaugh Township in December of 2015.
Officers attempted to arrest Woolley Wednesday at a magistrate’s office where he was pleading guilty to an unrelated assault charge. Investigators said Woolley resisted being handcuffed and scuffled with the officers. He was eventually subdued by a Taser.
Two officers were hurt in the fight.
Wooley was locked up with bail set at $250,000.
He faces robbery and related charges, along with aggravated assault charges.
