KINGSTON TOWNSHIP -- About 2,500 families in need will receive fresh milk each month and it is all part of the state-wide "Fill a Glass with Hope" program.

The Weinberg Food Bank kicked off the program in our area at the Lands at Hillside Farms in Luzerne County's back mountain.

Organizers say milk is one of the most requested items but is rarely donated to food banks.

Locally, the “Fill a Glass with Hope” program is expected to provide more than 200,000 servings of milk this year.
