KINGSTON — It was a free day of swimming for veterans and those who are currently serving in the military.

The newly renovated Kingston swimming pool offered free admission on this Fourth of July to those are serve and who previously served in our nation’s armed forces.  About a dozen showed up Monday afternoon when Newswatch 16 stopped by the pool.

We spoke with one vet who served in the Army.

“I think it’s really cool,” said Dan Haines of Kingston. ‘It’s something that they should really do, I think it’s nice.”

The pool in Kingston recently underwent a $1 million renovation.
