THOMPSON -- Folks enjoyed an early Fourth of July celebration Saturday in one part of Susquehanna County.
Friends and families lined the streets here in Thompson for the annual Independence Day parade along Water Street and gathered inside the Thompson Hose Company for a chicken barbecue and clambake.
There were plenty of games and activities for the kids and lots of music for all the families to enjoy here at the celebration.
Eva Pacheco of Thompson said, "It means so much getting everyone together. I think it really brings the community together and reminds us of the other communities around that we're a part of.”
"I love it. We come up here every year to see the parade,” added Greg Lafauci of Thompson.
A large fireworks display wrapped up the event Saturday night in Susquehanna County.
