A free Fourth of July event is nearing! It’s organized all in the name of keeping kids safe. The fun ties into the ninth annual “bicycle helmet giveaway” this Tuesday, July 4.
The event is sponsored by H-K-Q Kids which is affiliated with the Luzerne County law firm Hourigan Kluger and Quinn. 1,300 bicycle helmets are up for grabs for children 12 and under. They must be accompanied by a parent. Organizers hold the event as a way to give back to the community and keep children safe since state law requires youngsters 12 and under to wear a helmet.
