SCRANTON -- The Ronald McDonald House in Scranton received a surprise donation on Saturday.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Pennsylvania presented a $30,000 check to the Ronald McDonald House in Scranton in honor of the charity's 30th anniversary.

With the donation, the Ronald McDonald House in Scranton will be able to provide overnight housing for families with sick or injured children at area hospitals.
