WILKES-BARRE – People enjoying RiverFest in Wilkes-Barre this weekend had the chance to help the hungry.

The Weinberg Food Bank visited Nesbitt Park on Saturday to collect non-perishable food items from visitors.

The food bank plans to send the donations to 150 locations across our area that serve the hungry.

Each year those locations serve millions of pounds of food to people in need in northeastern and central Pennsylvania.
