POCONO TOWNSHIP -- A water park in Monroe County is one of 500 sites worldwide taking part in the world's largest swim lesson.
About 30 kids participated Friday in the Guinness World Record Swimming Lesson at Camelbeach near Tannersville.
The event is done to promote the importance of knowing how to swim.
"Water is everywhere no matter where you go. Even if you are in the bathtub or if you come to a recreational park or facility, and it is just an overwhelming experience that everyone should experience," said lifeguard Kate Miller.
The event takes place over 24 hours at about 500 locations in 20 countries.
Each child who participated in the swim lesson received a free pass to Camelbeach Water Park in Monroe County.
