SCOTT TOWNSHIP -- An 85-year-old man is dead when he was accidentally run over by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon in Lackawanna County.
Police say around 12:30 p.m., the man and two women in their 70s were working on a property in Scott Township. As they were unloading materials from the back of a pickup truck, one of the women driving the truck mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake and backed up over the man.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lackawanna County coroner.
