The 21st annual Wyoming Valley RiverFest is getting set to make a real splash in Luzerne County.  The event gets underway this Friday in Nesbitt Park in Wilkes-Barre at 5 p.m.   It continues through Sunday.  New this year, a food drive on Saturday to help area pantries.  You can show up to the event Saturday with non-perishable food items.

There are also plenty of trips planned along the Susquehanna River.   For more information on the kayak excursions this weekend and how to sign up, click here!

A special river trip for area artists is also being held this Friday morning from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Pre-registration is required for this trip.  To get involved call 570-388-6107.  Or email contact@kayaktheriver.com.  The meet up location is Susquehanna Avenue in Pittston at 9 a.m.
