SCRANTON -- The company that owns a fuel tank blamed for an oil spill in the Lackawanna River will have to pay a penalty of almost $43,000.

DEP announced today that CL&W Incorporated of Dunmore has to pay for causing the spill that leaked an undetermined amount of fuel into the river in Scranton in 2014.

The property is owned by Dunmore businessman Louis Denaples who previously said he would pay for the clean-up.
