SCRANTON -- Road work in Lackawanna County slowed traffic Monday morning.
According to PennDOT, emergency pothole patching was done Monday on Interstate 81 North between the River Street Exit in Scranton and just before the Drinker Street Exit in Dunmore. Work started around 4 a.m.
PennDOT cameras indicate the the work wrapped up by 11:30 a.m. and traffic was flowing smoothly.
PennDOT says crews will also be picking up litter along Interstate 81 in Lackawanna County, plus spraying herbicide.
