SCRANTON -- Dozens of people turned out for the 25th annual Lackawanna County Commissioners’ Bocce Tournament at McDade Park in Scranton on Saturday.

The tournament features local teams and also brings together people from New York and New Jersey.

"Camaraderie for one, it also tries to advance Italian heritage. It’s one opportunity for most of these people to get together," said tournament director John Rettura.

Each year, the event in Scranton raises thousands of dollars for a charity of the commissioners' choice.
