PLAINS TOWNSHIP -- A wreck near Wilkes-Barre snarled traffic Wednesday morning.

The crash backed up traffic in the southbound lanes of the Route 309 where it splits off into Interstate 81 and Route 115 after 8 a.m.

The driver of the van told us he tried avoiding some slow cars ahead of him by moving off to the side of the road, and ended up into the guide rail.

No one was hurt in the crash in Luzerne County.
