Area veterinarians say this year's tick season is expected to be more active because of the mild winter. Dr. Keith Dorton at Scranton Animal Hospital encourages pet parents to talk to their vet, especially this time of year in early Spring, about different types of flea and tick products for their pets.
Dr. Dorton also demonstrated how to properly apply flea/tick medications on dogs and cats today on Newswatch 16 This Morning. He also showed how to search for them after an outdoor adventure.
