SCRANTON -- Supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders gathered at a place in Scranton that was also hosting a viewing party for Hillary Clinton supporters.
Sanders supporters said the nomination for the Democratic candidate for president is far from over.
"The next step is to just continue fighting for him. Here we see it was a close call but we know that Bernie Sanders loves Pennsylvania. He loves the young people and we know that's what's going to make him prevail," said one Sanders voter.
"This campaign will not stop. It will continue to move forward. There has been nothing but progressives, nothing but Democrats, and even moderates coming together and supporting what Senator Sanders believes in," said another supporter.
Sanders supporters note that the next important primary for them ins California in June.
Bernie Sanders is the former Mayor of Burlington, Vermont (1981-89), U.S. Representative from Vermont (1991-2007), U.S. Senator from Vermont since 2007. He was a registered Independent from 1979-2015 and has only identified himself as a Democrat since 2015.
