There's a new event launching in Lackawanna County this weekend. Throop is gearing up to host its first "Arts & Food Festival" tomorrow, Saturday, April 16. It'll take place from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Throop Civic Center at 500 Sanderson Street. Sixty plus vendors will be on hand ranging from fine art to crafts and even some creative cuisine will be offered from area food trucks. Parking is available at the Throop Civic Center and the Throop Little League Field where shuttles will be busing people to and from the free event.
There are even free art classes for kids at the festival. Registration is required before Saturday. You can call 570-383-7906 to sign-up.
