BRADFORD COUNTY — Teachers in two school districts in Bradford County have announced plans to strike.

According to the Sayre Area School District website, teachers in the district announced they plan to hit the picket line Tuesday morning.

Teachers have been working without a contract for three years.

The district says the maximum length of the potential strike is still unknown.

While there would be no school in the Sayre Area School District during the strike, the district hopes to continue extracurricular activities.

And in the Athens Area School District, teachers gave notice that they plan to strike beginning April 18.

Teachers in that district have also been without a contract for three years.
