SELINSGROVE -- Court papers reveal that the former Selinsgrove borough employee who died over the weekend was most likely killed with a hammer.

Her husband, who police call their only person of interest in the case, may have overdosed on pills.

Selinsgrove police continue to investigate a homicide that took place inside a house on Ninth Street sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

According to a search warrant, a family friend came to visit the couple Saturday morning, and found Kenneth Wochley, 75, unconscious in a chair. He was red in the face with an empty pill bottle next to him.

The family friend then saw the body of Ann Wochley, 75, on the floor, covered with a blanket. Her head was covered in blood. A hammer with what appeared to be blood and hair on it was found on a dining room counter.

Police say the wounds on Ann's head look like they were caused by that hammer, and there was blood on the walls and ceiling, indicating the hammer was swung.

When police got to the house around 11 a.m. Saturday, Kenneth Wochley was unconscious. The search warrant reveals his face, hands and clothing had blood stains on them. The bottle of muscle relaxers next to him was empty.

The Snyder County District Attorney says toxicology tests are being done to determine if Kenneth took the pills. Other medication was taken from the home, along with the hammer, blood swabs, and blankets.

The Wochleys are well known in Selinsgrove. Ann is a former borough employee and Kenneth a former teacher.

Selinsgrove police say at this time Kenneth is their only person of interest. Kenneth is still in the hospital and police have not yet been able to interview him because of his condition.
