Police: Woman Jumped from Window to Escape Machete Attack

WILKES-BARRE -- A man in Wilkes-Barre faces assault charges after a woman told police she jumped out the window of an apartment complex because he threatened her with a machete.

Officers were called to the Sherman Hills apartment around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday where they found the woman with a broken leg.

The woman told police she jumped out the window to escape Tyrone Scott from Edwardsville.

Scott was arrested after a brief struggle with police.
