WILKES-BARRE -- If you have pajamas, Luzerne County wants them.
Rabbi Larry Kaplan of Wilkes-Barre knows a thing or two about being a foster parent.
“We had probably 60, 65 kids over the years,” he said.
He also knows how important it is for foster children to have the right clothes, including pajamas.
"It means that they're going to be safe and secure, that there's a place for them, that there's a couple of living hands around,” he added.
That's why he donated to the Luzerne County pajama drive, which just started this week.
The new PJs will be given to the county's foster children.
Collection boxes have been placed in the Luzerne County Courthouse basement and the county human services building.
“These are new pajamas for children. If we can give them just a little bit of comfort in this time of need, it'd mean the world to them,” said David Pedri, Luzerne County’s acting manager.
The pajama drive runs through the end of the month.
