HEMLOCK TOWNSHIP -- A man believed to be involved in a murder in Columbia County could soon be returned to the United States to face charges.
Anthony Franklin is accused, along with his daughter, in the 2012 murder of Frank Spencer.
He fled to Argentina and has been in prison there since 2014.
U.S. Representative Lou Barletta said the Argentinian Ambassador to the U.S. informed him that their Supreme Court ruled against Franklin, meaning he would be returned to Columbia County within the next 60 days to face charges.
Franklin’s daughter, Maria Sanutti-Spencer, who was married to Frank Spencer, was convicted last year for her role in the murder and is serving a life sentence.
