ESU Students Robbed Over the Weekend

EAST STROUDSBURG -- Some college students were robbed in East Stroudsburg over the weekend.

Police tell us just after 11 p.m. on Sunday four East Stroudsburg University students were held up by six masked men near the intersection of Smith Street and Spangenburg Avenue. One of the robbers had a gun.

The other incident took place early Saturday morning along East Brown Street. Three men allegedly robbed three students. Again, one of the crooks had a gun.

In both cases, cash was taken and no one was hurt.

Officers have not said if the robberies in East Stroudsburg are connected.
