PLAINS TOWNSHIP -- Scrabble, Yahtzee, and Parcheesi are among some of the things on the menu at a new business in Luzerne County.

A ribbon cutting was held at the Game Chateau near Wilkes-Barre Saturday. The business bills itself as a board game café which is one of only two in the state.

The Game Chateau offers coffee, drinks, and snacks along with dozens of different board games for customers to play. The owners say they want to expose people to many different kinds of games.

"We definitely have plans to try and really open it up to everyone. We want people of all ages to feel welcome,” said Chris Moore, owner. “Even if you have no idea how to play games, we'll sit down with you and teach you."

The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon cutting event here in Luzerne County.
