DUNMORE -- There's snow in the forecast for Sunday, the first day of spring, just adding to the unusual weather we've seen the past few months.

It's already looking like spring inside Jerry's For All Seasons in Dunmore. Outside, it's a little different as the Stormtracker 16 team is looking at some snow possibly coming to our area on Sunday.

It's not the best circumstances for some who have already started getting their garden ready.

"It started in February when we had that warm spell," said Wendy Smith. "We had a lot of people coming in."

Experts at Jerry's For All Seasons say the snow can actually help insulate certain plants you may have already put in your garden.

"They know what they're doing. They're a part of nature and the snow will hold them back from blooming a little bit too early, and snow will actually insulate against the cold."

Toni Mackey and Mary Ann Antos are banking on the snow coming this weekend.

"Don't worry about the garden," said Antos. "The snow will go away really fast!"

They're hoping for the snow because they're buying plants for their annual flower sale for the Dunmore YMCA. The fundraiser just so happens to start on Monday after the snow is expected to pass.

"Don't even worry about the ones in the yard," said Mackey. "We have gorgeous flowers. We have the pick of the pick."
