SCRANTON -- In recognition of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities Awareness Month, a special mass was held Sunday in Scranton.
The mass, held at the Cathedral of Saint Peter on Wyoming Avenue, celebrated people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
The service has become an annual tradition. People with disabilities participated as greeters, altar servers, readers, and gift bearers.
