Man Pleads Guilty for Shooting Man Last Year

WILKES-BARRE -- A man pleaded guilty Tuesday to shooting and trying to kill another man in Wilkes-Barre.

A judge immediately sentenced Keith Hayes to at least five years in prison.

Hayes admits shooting a man at Sherman Hills Apartments in March of last year.

Police in New York City picked up Hayes over the summer. The victim survived.

Another man suspected in the shooting still awaits trial.

Authorities in Wilkes-Barre say the victim was shot over a video game system.
