We're not the only ones loving the recent winter warm-up. The mild February season has also allowed area maple syrup producers to get a jump start on tree taping at their farms. Urbanski Farms in Mountain Top started their work at the end of last month and already tapped more than 150 trees.
The PA Maple Association ranks Pennsylvania among the top ten states in the country when it comes to producing the most maple syrup.
