HARRISBURG -- An appeals court has dismissed some charges against former Penn State University officials Graham Spanier, Gary Schultz, and Tim Curley, for the handling of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
- The Superior Court ruled that grand jury testimony against Spanier, the university president at the time, from former PSU general counsel violated attorney-client privilege. The court dismissed perjury, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy charges against Spanier. He still faces charges of failure to report suspected child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
- The court dismissed charges against Schultz, a former VP of finance at Penn State, because it found that PSU general counsel was acting on Penn State's behalf and not on behalf of Schultz. The court dismissed charges of perjury, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy. He still faces charges of failure to report suspected child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Sandusky, a former assistant football coach, was convicted in 2012 of abusing 10 boys.
