After 36 years as head coach of Lycoming College Football- Frank Girardi retired in 2007 with many great memories, milestones, and an overall record of (257-97-5). And last week Coach Girardi notified of his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

"I think it's going to be a very humbling day, I really do. It's going to be a great honor, but it's also going to be humbling when you think about who you are going in with and all the other great coaches that are there in it, so it's going to be a great night," said Frank.

Girardi strolled the sidelines in Williamsport with vigor and determination guiding the Warriors to 13 MAC titles and two cracks at a Division III National Championship-both times finishing as national runner-up.

"The two things that come to your mind right away are that you are prideful because of what was accomplished, and the memories just come flooding back, especially when the phone calls from my guys started to come back. So I got phone calls from the guys in the 70's up into the 2000's and with every phone call there was another story. It was a different story," again said Frank.

"I tell you there are two ways to get 200 wins either way you have to be a heck of an old man or you have a lot of great players, and I got a lot of great players because I'm not that old. I'm not that old. I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything that you guys have done all year, and I tell you to get to 200 under this group is an honor for me. It's an honor. I love you guys. Three cheers for G's 200th win..Hip-hip hooray, hip-hip hooray, hip-hip hooray. Thanks guys!" added Frank.

Coach Girardi will head to New York City on December 6th for the College Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel he will be there with 16 other inductees, and one other coach and with some players the likes of Bert Jones, Rod Woodson, Randall Cunningham and Derrick Brooks.
