TAMAQUA -- A church in Schuylkill County welcomed the community in for a traditional New Year's Day feast.

People at Zion Lutheran Church in Tamaqua held its first "Come As You Are" dinner featuring all you can eat pork and sauerkraut, free of charge.

The hearty spread is a popular New Year's Day tradition.

"We have folks from all over the community that have come in from many different congregations from folks that aren't even attached to congregations. It's been really wonderful to see this number of people come out," said Pastor Virginia Goodwin.

Donations were welcome and will help the church.
