SCRANTON -- There was a sold out show of the the Nutcracker Ballet Saturday afternoon at Marywood University's Performing Arts Center.

This is the 40th year the ballet theater of Scranton has performed the ballet for the public.

Tickets are distributed on a first come, first serve basis before each show as a free gift to the community.

"The dancers look forward to it every year," said Joanne Arduino, director of the show. "Perfect gift back to the community."

The theater will continue to perform the ballet through Monday evening at the center in Scranton.
