CHERRY RIDGE TOWNSHIP -- Santa Claus traded in his reindeer and sleigh for a helicopter in part of Wayne County.

The jolly old elf arrived Saturday morning at the Cherry Ridge Airport near Honesdale.

He was greeted by an excited group of children who told him what they wanted for Christmas.

Lydia Gilson from Honesdale said she was happy to see Santa, but thought it was better for him to use a sleigh because it fits more presents.

After the landing, Santa headed inside to the diner to talk to all those who came to see him in Wayne County.
