WAYMART -- Spaghetti was served up Sunday to help out animals being cared for at a shelter in Wayne County.
Newswatch 16 stopped by the Gravity Inn in Waymart for the "Spawghetti" dinner. It's all to benefit the Dessin Animal Shelter.
Folks paid $15 each to enjoy all the spaghetti and meatballs, salad and desserts they could eat.
Organizers say it's expensive to keep the shelter near Honesdale up and running treating neglected, abused and stray animals.
Karen Gibney from the shelter said, "We feed the animals, veterinary care. Every little bit counts. Absolutely, a fundraiser like this is big support for us."
There were basket raffles at the tasty event benefiting the shelter.
