WILKES-BARRE -- Testimony began Tuesday in the murder trial of James Roche.

Roche is accused of teaming up with his girlfriend Holly Crawford to kill Ronald Evans and his son Jeff last year near Hunlock Creek.

In September, Crawford was convicted of first degree murder in the case.

On Tuesday, the defense argued that Roche was acting in self-defense.

Testimony is scheduled to continue Wednesday.
