East Stroudsburg University senior quarterback Matt Soltes is re-writing the record books while leading all of Division II in total offense at 400 yards per game. Soltes is now first all-time for a career in games of 500 and 600 yards of total offense and tied for first with 12 games now with at least five touchdown passes.

"It all starts with the offensive line without them if they don't block you don't throw. If they don't block you don't run," said Matt.

Soltes isn't the only one making headlines. Fellow senior wide receiver Jon Schnaars is at the top of Division II for catches (10 per game), yards (150), and touchdowns (16), and junior tailback Robert Healy is the only player in college football with 500 yards receiving and 500 rushing thru the first seven weeks of the season.

"Me and Matt came in together. We tried to get chemistry right away by playing on the scout team when we red-shirted, and we just think the same on the field off the field," said Jon.

"It is a little surprising because what we are doing this year is pretty special and the records we are breaking this year it just shows how much hard work we put into this and how it's paying off," said Robert.

They are certainly keeping an eye on the record books here at ESU. With one more PSAC East player of the week award for Soltes and he goes past Terwilliger. Schnaars is just 12 touchdown catches away from passing Evan Prall and for Healy he needs 133 yards to become the school's all-time leading rusher.

"They're scratching at the walls in their house that's for sure, but it's a different era, it's a different time, different people, but same red shirts though. They have that warrior spirit. They go out every weekend and see if they can be the best that they can be," said Denny Douds.

After the Kutztown game it's Bloomsburg, West Chester and Gannon left on the schedule for this trio
to keep making their marks in the history books.
