SCRANTON -- Some rock and roll in Lackawanna County Sunday night raised money in memory of a woman who lost her battle with cancer.

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute held its fifth annual "Judi H Rock On" concert at Saint Mary's Center on Mifflin Avenue in Scranton.

The event is held in memory of Judi Hartridge, a mother and wife from Dunmore, who died in 2007.

The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of cancer screenings.

"We want to make everybody aware that, hey, get yourself checked," said Paul LaBelle, the organizer. "Do the right thing and don't just push something off. They can really help."

There was plenty of food, drinks, music and basket raffles up for grabs at the concert in Scranton.
