EAST STROUDSBURG – There were some special guests at a race at East Stroudsburg University Saturday morning.

That’s Corporal Bryon Dickson’s son being carried by other Pennsylvania State Police troopers through a 5K held in his father’s memory.

Tiffany Dickson, the widow of Corporal Dickson, also participated in the race.

State Police officers never left her side during the run.

Students at ESU organized the race.

"With a lot of stuff going on today, with police getting shot and killed, it’s just amazing how the community can come together as a whole and work together and do good things,” said Nico Werkheiser.

The 5K race at East Stroudsburg University raised money for the “Bryon K. Dickson II” Memorial Fund.
